I do not know if I need to say anything at all. You
all have seen it. The performance was poor, no doubt.
Our guys did everything they could, no doubt. Michael
had problems during the last lap, no doubt as well.
It all is very painful and you want to cry when you
see this result in home ground of Monza, no doubt.
But I also think that this the point we all should
survive, just because it is the way things happen.
Championships are won and lost... This is the F1 we
love.
Thanks to the carabinieri next to Parabolica Interna
Tribuna no. 23 I was able to put my poster stating
Forza Schumi. Some people ask me why I prepare a poster
every time I attend the race and then leave it at
the racetrack. I can tell you why. I really believe
Michael sees such things during the drivers’ parade
and it cheers him up and helps him in some way. It
is not just a poster; it is a part of the soul of
a few people:
- my uncle in Belarus who buys the textile and sends
to me, because it is pure white and I cannot find
one like that in Moscow;
- my friends who have cars and buy the car paint for
me, because I do not know where to get it as I do
not have a car myself;
- my dad who is perfect in writing slogans;
- and me who brings it to the race track and deals
with the carabinieri to put it at the right place
so Michael could see it.
All these people put part of their soul in this poster.
So this is why it is important to me.
Today I am sure Michael saw it, because he showed
it to me. It is unforgettable and I must share this
with everyone in this world. It was during the drivers’
parade. There were less people in Monza this year
that all the years before. I am sure you have read
about it in Internet and it so happened that I was
almost alone standing on top of the stand for some
time during drivers parade because everyone went down
to take pictures of the drivers. I was wearing my
red wig with a Ferrari flag around me and another
Schumi flag on my shoulders and I had this signal
to greet him. I was signalling and shouting “Schumi,
Schumi” as loud as I could. I watching the screen
to see what he was doing during the whole parade lap
and he was just waiving his hand. And just when he
was passing Parabollica Interna stand, I was standing
there and he showed me his right hand thumb up. I
swear to God, he did it because he saw me. What can
I say? It is the happiest moment of my life.
Unfortunately we did not perform well today and I
was not in the mood to run to the podium to greet
the winner but as it usually happens that thing you
do not want to see comes to you. I went to the start
finish line but did not run right under the podium.
However, I saw all 3 drivers perfectly when they were
going to the press conference on the bridge from the
podium to the press centre.
As I know, it was Rubens last race with Ferrari at
Monza. It was a little bit sad because he is a good
guy. However, he has to evolve and move on even if
this evolution will take place in another team than
Ferrari. Thank you for everything Rubens, I wish you
luck and success, find your happiness and never give
up.
The day was full of ups and downs for the Team, for
the drivers and for me. No matter if we performed
poorly today, I bring back with me the image of Michael
with his thumb directed at me, and I know that while
he keeps his thumb up, we will be ok and we will start
winning. I am sure about it. I hope you are too.

OK, I did promise you the news on pole position for
Ferrari yesterday. I am very sorry, but there are
no such news. However, qualifying positions are not
bad to my mind. It could be better of course, and
they have been better for a few years, but now we
are in hard times and the present position is not
as bad as it could be.
There are a lot people today at the racetrack and
I hope to see even more tomorrow. I must admit that
the number of Spanish fans increased tremendously
thanks to Fernando Alonzo of course. It is good for
F1 because it means it is getting more and more popular
in Spain. When I was there back in 2003 (by the way
the Tifosi’s Report for this event is also published
here on Tifosi Club) there were few people in Spain
who understood F1. I am glad they finally have a driver
to support, even if I do not like the guy.
Everyone, if you ever visit Milan, go to Piazza Liberty
and visit the Ferrari store opened by Luca di Montezemolo
a few days ago. It would be impossible to miss the
place because there is a huge crowd around it. There
are car models and a lot of stuff with Ferrari logos.
I am the happy owner of a pullover and the thing you
wear after bath I don’t know how it is called in English.
The place is stunning and absolutely is a must to
see for all tifosi in Milano.
By the way, no one of those who wrote on the forum
that they would go to Monza and to whom I left my
cell phone number and name of the hotel I’m staying
in Milano contacted me so I think I will organize
a small Tifosi Club meeting and party for myself only...
Very sad however, because I think that tomorrow we
would have something to celebrate.
I have found out that I bring luck to Pizzonia, because
all the time I go he has a chance to race... Maybe
the guy is in love with me and wants to show himself
off! (Just a joke!). And I do not bring luck to Kimi,
every time I attend a race, something happens to him...
Sorry, Kimi...
Weather was quite fine today but very very hot. For
the fans like me on the stands with no cover it was
a difficult day. Of course no one complained, because
it is Monza and Ferraris on the racetrack. Nothing
else matters!
Oh, some more news... First time I saw myself on
a big screen... Red wig, crazy look, big Ferrari flag...
I am officially a movie star now!
Tomorrow, I will have my poster saying FORZA SCHUMI
tied to the stand I hope for help and understanding
from police. Please see it on the stand Parabollica
Interna just close to the exit from famous and tremendous
Parabollica. Let us all have fingers crossed for tomorrow.
Will tell you more tomorrow about the adventures
with the poster and walk around the racetrack and
the way I would greet Michael and Rubens standing
under the podium, because I know that they will be
on podium. Just because it is Monza and Ferraris are
on the racetrack and nothing else matters!
Friday September 2, 2005
Free practice was not very good for us so to say.
Michael was out and had to wait till the end behind
the wall of old tyres. However, as I am here he or
Rubens are supposed to win on Sunday, because all
the time I go, one of them wins! Of course they win
in Monza not because of me, but because of the tifosi
who come to see them winning and wish to see them
winning in Monza.
Monza is a very special place. It is the third time
I come here and it seems that I cannot get enough
of it.
There were quite a lot people here for Friday, the
first day of the racing weekend. People say that ticket
sales are down because Ferrari stopped winning and
tifosi do not want to spend money to see the team
in bad times. I do not believe in it. I cannot believe
in it because I see these people on the stands who
were sitting and waiting for Michael and Rubens to
hit the track. It was silence when Alonso or Raikkonen
were on the track but the sound of the crowd was unbelievable
when Michael and Rubens appeared.
There were 4 people who wanted to take a picture
with me, crazy tifosa with 2 flags and 2 caps and
a bunch of other stuff. I did not wear my red wig
yet! I will see what they say tomorrow. Nici introduces
a new line of toys and other things like keyrings
with Ferrari logo. It is very very nice and I cannot
stop from buying some stuff. Vodafone brought a funny
stand looking like the back of racing car. First time
in my life I saw official Alonso merchandise, before
that only Michael had the stores where they were selling
stuff with his logo.
By the way, the seller in one of the shops told me
that a guy who drives a Ferrari truck told him that
Michael signed the contact with Ferrari for 4 more
years after his present contract ends! I want to believe
it never mind if that official booklet calls him the
oldest driver at the racetrack and not matter that
he was out today, he is still the best and I want
to see him on the race track and I think a lot of
people also want it to happen.
Bridgestone brought their traditional stand, along
with the tyres for the team which are very slippery
as I could see. I was in prima variante during the
first practice and 2 times Michael had to break very
hard to pass the corner safely. And in Parabolllica
during second practice... sad story these tyres we
have. We should hope for rain maybe they would not
be that slippery.
Weather is rather hot and the air seems to be full
of water. I think maybe rain can bring us luck.
Will write you more tomorrow. May be it would be
good pole position news.
Regards,
Olgaka
